My name is Esther Ras, the owner of Bio Lash. My team and I would like to welcome you to the world of natural beauty.
At the age of 27, in 2023, living in the vibrant city of Rotterdam, I have turned my passion, with 8 years of experience as an eyelash stylist, into a mission: embracing your unique beauty.
Esther turned her struggles with autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder around and now runs Bio Lash Bio Lash has a mission that goes beyond just improving eyelashes and eyebrows. Behind this brand is Rotterdam-based Esther (28), an entrepreneur with a story that inspires self-acceptance and empowerment .
Growing up with the many challenges of autism and OCD and the hidden struggles that shaped her life, Esther’s journey began that gave birth to Bio Lash. “Bio Lash is not just a brand, but a movement that encourages people to embrace themselves, including the ‘imperfections’ that make us unique.
From lash lifts to self-acceptance
The constant struggle with autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder has hindered Esther her entire life and made her insecure in many ways. Yet she persevered and after years of struggle found a way to embrace herself and her “imperfections”. She learned to see the positive sides of her neuroses, such as her hyper-focus on one specific subject, and to use them appropriately: “We all know that little boy in class who is obsessed with trains; then I thought, eyelashes are my trains.”
After 8 years of experience as a lash stylist and running her own salon, Esther felt the urge to make a change. Early 2023, she launched Bio Lash, a brand all about boosting your confidence and embracing your natural look, with a little touch of glamour. The range is like an ode to your authentic self, from lash and eyebrow growth serums, at-home lash lift packages to eyelash dye and eyebrow gel.
At Bio Lash, it’s not just about lashes; it’s about building self-confidence and discovering the power of your own natural radiance. It all started with my belief that beauty comes in many forms and that everyone deserves to feel good in their own skin.
Our mission
Our mission is simple: to provide you with the best lash and beauty products while raising awareness for sustainable beauty and self-acceptance. We strive to inspire you to love yourself, recognize and embrace your own beauty, without the need for heavy makeup or artificial alterations. We are passionate about sustainability, self-love and promoting a positive, healthy lifestyle.
Not just the exception to the rule, Esther is rewriting the rules and hopes to inspire other young female entrepreneurs to do the same: find their train. Get on and never look back.
